Long Island's Doctor Who Convention
November 10-12, 2017
Hyatt Regency Long Island

About

Well, that was plush!

Our new home at the Hyatt Regency was a big hit. L.I. Who 3 was success with the largest lineup of Doctor Who guests ever seen on the East Coast.

This year's guest list features another multi-Doctor adventure. We're expanding our vendor space and moving the children's programming into the main building. The screen-used props and costume display returns. We're making improvements to our sound system and the TARDIS moves to a larger room. We're working year-round to improve the L.I. Who experience. The one thing we still need is you.

If you have purchased your passes already, thank you. If you haven't, let me encourage you to commit early. Your purchase helps collect the resources we need to make this November the best convention we've ever had.

Speaking of conventions, let me take a second to tell you about L.I. Geek 2016. It's our other sci-fi / fantasy convention. It takes place April 2-3rd, 2016 at the Ramada Plaza in Holtsville. It's just down the LIE from our home for L.I. Who. Geek is a hotel-based up close and personal fan run event, just like our flagship con. If you love L.I. Who, you'll find L.I. Geek a really fun weekend. Visit Geek's website for details and its unique guest lineup.

Thank you for your continued support of our fan-run conventions. Bring a friend.

L.I. Who 4. Please attend carefully.

Movin' on up!

After back-to-back sold out conventions in 2013 and 2014 it's time to move. We've outgrown our original location and we're on the move. Our new home for the next two years will be the Hyatt Regency Long Island. It's plush. It's bigger on the inside. This new location will allow us to grow without becoming overgrown. Our new agreement allows us to freeze general admission prices and hotel room rates through 2016. We plan to continue with our mission of being a fan first event, getting Doctor Who enthusiasts up close and interactive with the stars.

You've helped make a Long Island Doctor Who convention a success. Both of our previous events sold out prior to the doors opening. Thanks to the hundreds of you who have already purchased your passes for 2015. Your early commitment allows us to move forward quickly. Fans from almost every state and as far away as Australia joined us in 2014. It's a great feeling to know this convention means so much to so many people. Let's keep this tradition going.

Onward we move to L.I. Who 3. Now with more velvet!

You like us. You really like us!

The first L.I. Who was a big success and it's thanks to you. Your enthusiasm helped us sell out in our very first year. The second L.I. Who will be even better. We've listened to your suggestions and we're already planning L.I. Who 2.

We're staying put and have decided to remain the same size to ensure an intimate experience for all attendees. Please buy your passes early and tell your friends. You won't want to miss out.

Long Island's Doctor Who convention returns! This time, it's personal.

Your enthusiasm has paid off! Long Island will have its own Doctor Who convention.

The Greater New York area has been a large part of Doctor Who fandom for decades. 2012 saw the production team shoot an episode on location in Manhattan! Long Island is the home of the Gallifreyan Embassy, a fan club established in 1985. They have been active in area fandom since their foundation. For the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who some of the members decided they would bring an event back to Long Island.

L.I. Who is a fan-run and fan-supported convention. If you are a Doctor Who fan in the New York area, this is your chance to have an event to call your own. Our mission is to have an event that celebrates all 50 years of Doctor Who history. We want this event to include as many facets of fandom as possible. We will also provide a chance to be up close and personal with some of the people involved in the show's long history.

Please bookmark this website in your favorites and tell your friends about us. Check back frequently for updates as we are getting ready to announce our hotel and ticket information. We've worked out an extraordinary hotel rate for those wishing to stay close to the action.

Stay tuned because shortly we will announce our first wave of guests, including... a Doctor!

A Doctor Who convention on Long Island. It's about Time.
